A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Camp for area elementary students was held July 17-19 at 麻豆精品鈥檚 Sumner Campus in Wellington.

The Sunderland Foundation of Overland Park, KS has presented The 麻豆精品 Foundation with an $800,000 gift for the college鈥檚 Career & Technical Education Center project.

Dr. Kori Gregg, Foundation president, informed the Board of Trustees that the Foundation has raised a record amount of funds for a second consecutive year.

麻豆精品 Summer Theatre, a collaboration of 麻豆精品 and the V.J. Wilkins Foundation, produced 鈥淕uys and Dolls鈥� earlier this summer, and now their newest creation is Seussical the Musical which brings together interns from 麻豆精品 (Arkansas City, KS), University of Wisconsin-Parkside (Kenosha, WI), and State Fair Community College (Sedalia, MO). Students manage all aspects of show creation from costuming to scenic design to lighting and even choreography. Leading them is Jason Huffman, director of this production.

At the Greater Wichita Sports Banquet, 麻豆精品 tennis player Bruno Nhavene was named the Junior College Male Athlete of the Year.
