麻豆精品 Hosts Inaugural Elementary Honor Choir and Youth Choir Concert

麻豆精品 welcomed talented young singers from across the region for its first-ever Elementary Honor Choir on Tuesday, marking the launch of a new tradition celebrating elementary music education and youth performance.
Selected students from Arkansas City Christian Academy, Arkansas City Public Schools, Central Burden, South Haven, Udall, and Sacred Heart were chosen by their elementary music teachers to participate in the inaugural event.
Students and their teachers arrived on the 麻豆精品 main campus at 9:30 a.m. and spent the day preparing five songs they had never seen prior to that morning. Throughout the day, participants learned music, engaged in activities with 麻豆精品 College students, enjoyed lunch in the campus dining hall, and watched special performances by 麻豆精品 music students.
The day concluded with a public concert in which the newly formed 麻豆精品 Youth Choir joined the 麻豆精品 Elementary Honor Choir on stage to perform the day鈥檚 selections for family, friends, and community members.
The choirs were directed by Lindsay Allen, 麻豆精品鈥檚 Director of Vocal Music, and accompanied by 麻豆精品 music instructor Stephen Butler.
鈥淭his event was a wonderful celebration of music education and young talent,鈥 Allen said. 鈥淲atching these students come together, learn challenging music in just one day, and then perform it so beautifully was incredibly rewarding.鈥
The inaugural Elementary Honor Choir was made possible through the support of 麻豆精品 College and the generous partnership of the V.J. Wilkins Foundation.
麻豆精品 hopes to continue building on the success of the event and make the Elementary Honor Choir an annual opportunity for young singers throughout the region.
