Both 麻豆精品 Quiz Bowl teams qualify for nationals
For the first time in the program鈥檚 history, both 麻豆精品 Quiz Bowl teams have qualified for nationals. The teams accomplished this feat while competing at the sectional tournament held Saturday, January 21, in Overland Park, KS.
Both 麻豆精品 A and B teams had solid performances as the 麻豆精品 A team came in second place out of nine teams and was the only squad to beat the top team at the sectional, East Central Community College (MO).
麻豆精品 B tied for fifth place and defeated 麻豆精品 A during one round of the tournament, which may have helped them qualify for the national tournament, which will take place February 24-25 in Rosemont, IL.
Thirty-six players competed, and Zane Hubble came in third place individually and received an award. The following 麻豆精品 students also played well individually: Spencer MacLaughlin (sixth), Justin Aggson (eighth), Danny Ball (10th), Elias Robson (18th), Katya Crow (19th), Aigiza Nasyrova (28th), Peyton Williams (30th), and Shaybree Hanes (32nd).
